


Holster Draw Certification
Gain the essential skills required to safely carry and draw from a holster in a controlled range setting. This certification is your gateway to joining our Close Quarters Combat (CQC) firearms program.
If you’ve completed our Handgun Level 1 and Handgun Level 2 classes, this is your next step toward more dynamic firearms training. This four-part course teaches proper holster handling, safe drawing techniques, and the core fundamentals of handgun marksmanship. Students begin with dry practice using non-firing training handguns, progressing to a live-fire test with certified instructors. Upon successful completion of the written and practical exams, participants will receive a 2-year holster draw certification valid at our facility.
Course Highlights:
Train to safely carry and draw a handgun from a belt holster while in the range
Three dry sessions using realistic non-firing training handguns
One live-fire session with supervised shooting and practical testing
Learn stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, and re-holstering
Equipment rental and ammunition included in course fee
Required certification for access to our CQC firearms program
All four sessions are mandatory for certification
Location: Calgary (Runs alongside our CQC program on Tuesday nights)
Level: Intermediate Prep – PAL or Proof of Restricted Safety Course Required
Certification: Holster Draw Certificate valid for 2 years; re-testing required for renewal
