Holster Draw Certification
Holster Draw Certification
In this course you will learn how to safely carry and draw a handgun from a holster while in our range. This important skill will allow you to continue with Intermediate and Advanced level courses at our Academy.
This course includes:
Three dry sessions with real GLOCK® non-firing trainers to learn the steps of the draw and the foundational skills required to safely fire handguns (stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, etc).
One live shoot with real GLOCK® handguns.
Certification requires a practical and written exam.
Equipment rental (holster, magazine pouch, firearm) and ammunition are included in the course fee.
Prerequisites:
Valid PAL or proof of Restricted safety course completion.
This course runs alongside our CQC program on Tuesday nights. The fourth Tuesday of the month is your final session for shooting, testing, and certification. All four sessions are mandatory. The certification is valid for 2-years from the date of issue and must be re-tested for renewal.
Gain the essential skills required to safely carry and draw from a holster in a controlled range setting. This certification is your gateway to joining our Close Quarters Combat (CQC) firearms program.
If you’ve completed our Handgun Level 1 and Handgun Level 2 classes, this is your next step toward more dynamic firearms training. This four-part course teaches proper holster handling, safe drawing techniques, and the core fundamentals of handgun marksmanship.
