ITTA Shooting Range and Firearms Academy
The International Tactical Training Academy operates one of the most unique shooting ranges in Canada. Unlike a commercial shooting range, our students are guided by instructors in our Tactical Range. Our range is designed to provide clean air and safely permit shooting from multiple distances. This allows us to stage training scenarios and accommodate a variety of target systems.
The goal of ITTA is to promote the safe and responsible use of firearms. We achieve this by providing professional training under qualified instructors. Our courses will build the level of confidence and skills required to effectively operate a firearm safely. The personal attention from our instructors will help you develop sound shooting techniques right from the start. We offer training courses for all skill levels, from beginners learning safety and fundamentals to advanced shooters.

Firearms Training Curriculum
INTRO (Level 1)
An introduction to firearms safety, handling, basic marksmanship skills, and the holster draw.
Completing the CFSC and then the CRFSC teaches you the minimum requirements for firearms safety. This allows you to apply for your firearms license which permits you to legally acquire and own firearms in Canada. The safety courses are a prerequisite for attending all of our firearms classes.
Shooting Fundamentals classes along with the Holster Draw Certification are designed for brand new shooters and for people who have never had formal firearms training.
Intermediate (Level 2)
More in-depth fundamental shooting skills, advanced firearms safety, and firearms maintenance.
Range Safety Officer (Coming Soon)
Firearms Maintenance (Coming Soon)
Our Level 2 firearms classes build upon skills learned in the Level 1 and Holster Draw classes.
The Range Safety Officer course will teach you how to be safe in a Tactical Range, what to look out for, and how to run a firing line.
You can also learn how to clean and maintain your firearms in our Maintenance Class. This class is taught by a certified GLOCK® Armorer with GLOCK® handguns. The skills you learn here apply to all firearms.
CQC - Close Quarter Combat
Our CQC program is an on-going training course that covers all of our firearms training and some of our martial arts program. This is where the majority of our firearms students come on an on-going basis. Students will move up from shooting off the bench to using holsters, slings, and other tactical equipment. This program covers handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
Students will learn various techniques for loading and reloading, clearing malfunctions, different shooting positions, shooting on the move, marksmanship, low-light conditions, timed scenarios, armed and unarmed hand to hand self-defense, weapons retention, and firearms maintenance. This is the ultimate tactical target shooting training program.
