Shotgun Fundamentals Shooting Classes (Level 1)
Learn how to safely handle and shoot a tactical pump-action shotgun in a low-pressure, beginner-friendly environment. No prior shooting experience needed — Non-Restricted Firearms Safety Course completion or valid PAL required. We strongly recommend that students complete our Rifle Level 1 and Rifle Level 2 classes before this class but this is not a requirement.
This introductory shotgun class is designed for new shooters who have completed the Non-Restricted CFSC course or already hold a valid PAL. Students will learn firearms safety, handling, and marksmanship fundamentals from certified instructors. The course includes a safety lecture, dry handling practice, and live fire shooting — all in a safe, structured environment built for confidence and learning.
Course Highlights:
- Learn firearm safety and basic marksmanship from certified instructors
- Practice safe handling, grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger discipline
- 12ga shells will be used but lighter .410 is available if high recoil is a concern
- Falling steel targets instead of paper
- Participate in supervised live fire drills
- Suitable for first-time shooters
- Private group bookings available upon request
Location: Calgary
Level: Beginner Level 1 – Valid PAL or Non-Restricted Firearms Safety Course completion required.
Disclaimer: Educational purposes only. This is a live-fire training class. Some physical activity will be required to reset targets.
