Each course is taught by certified instructors and includes a safety lecture, practical handling, and supervised live-fire training. Completion of the firearms safety course or a valid firearms license is required to participate.

Admission is open to everyone who is at least 18 years of age with no criminal record and in good standing with your community. Obtaining a PAL (firearms licence) is a prerequisite to this program.
Learn how to safely handle and shoot a handgun in a low-pressure, beginner-friendly environment. No prior shooting experience needed — Restricted Firearms Safety Course completion or valid PAL required.
This introductory handgun class is designed for new shooters who have completed the Restricted CFSC course or already hold a valid PAL. Using a small caliber handgun with very low recoil, students will learn firearms safety, handling, and marksmanship fundamentals from certified instructors. The course includes a safety lecture, dry handling practice, and live fire shooting — all in a safe, structured environment built for confidence and learning.
Course Highlights:

Learn how to safely handle and shoot a tactical pump-action shotgun in a low-pressure, beginner-friendly environment. No prior shooting experience needed — Non-Restricted Firearms Safety Course completion or valid PAL required. We strongly recommend that students complete our Rifle Level 1 and Rifle Level 2 classes before this class but this is not a requirement.

12ga shells will be used but lighter .410 is available if high recoil is a concern
